Organic Kamut® flower.The wheat Khorasan Kamut. is an ancestor of durum wheat, whose origin dates back to the fertile Mesopotamian valleys in Egypt where it was cultivated already 6,000 years ago, at the time of the pyramids. With the disappearance of Egyptian culture, also the cultivation of wheat Khorasan Kamut was abandoned. It was not until 1977 that farmers in the United States resumed cultivation and promoted its spread. Khorasan wheat flour is used for the production of leavened and baked goods.
